It's already started, though our deadline is in January. The submissions are trickling in for the Trafficking in Magic/Magicking in Traffic anthologies.
One is very good and just what we're looking for. One is appalling and has inspired me to begin drafting our form rejection letter. A couple are good but not what we're looking for. A couple are good and might be what we're looking for, depending on what else comes in. We start with a lot of gradations, considering that in the end every piece will get a yes or a no.
I haven't read slush since I was in college and worked on a bunch of campus publications. It's a nice nostalgia trip, so far.
