purpledice got hitched last weekend. The universe seems to want me to look back at the good side of my years at Rutgers. Okay, Universe, I can take a hint.
So I wrote a sort of prehistory of my old Intro to Myth class and posted it at Black Gate. Next week, I'll pick up with how the class unfolded once the students showed up. It's tempting to mention that old saw about how no battle plan survives contact with the enemy, but my students were allies, start to finish.
