Every teacher, good or bad, looks back and wonders, Whatever happened to that kid? I've wondered about my geniuses and my slackers, my hard-luck-cases-made-good, even my stalker. All of them went on to have some kind of existence I now know nothing about. Since I've been blogging at Black Gate about books on teaching writing, that question has popped into my head a lot about the one creative writing student I had who wanted to write comic books. Here's what I have to say about him.
