It's not a tumor. It's just sinusitis...probably. When the sinusitis goes away, we'll find out whether anything weirder was hiding behind it. I'm still wondering what was up with the arthritis-like hand symptoms.
Tai Chi seems to ameliorate the Mystery Headache, at least temporarily. Today, my teacher decided I had the basics down well enough to start learning the first movement of the long form. I am the world's slowest kinesthetic learner, but I do pretty well with names. Although it'll be a long time before I can do the first movement of the long form passably well, I seem to be picking up pretty quickly how the sequence is supposed to go. What with all the Nanowrimo frenzy, it's nice to have one part of my life in which I'm quite content to progress slowly at an already slow thing.
To my surprise and delight, I gained a little ground on my word count quota today. The current deficit is down to 1930, and today's the most logistically complicated day I expect to have all week. Things are looking auspicious.
Tomorrow, once I've voted and done right by my one Tuesday student, I'll have hours to catch up on all the phone calls and emails I owe--all the stuff I lamed out on while the Mystery Headache ruled my world. If I owe you an answer about anything and I don't get to you tomorrow, feel free to ping me with a reminder. I let a lot of things fall by the wayside, but everything that was important in October is still important now.
Maybe tomorrow I'll post an excerpt. There are a couple of scenes that don't suck.
