Cathy Clamp's explanation of the differences between distributors and wholesalers in the book trade is important stuff for anyone who's chasing a writing career. I've been doing my homework about the industry for a long time now, but I'd never been clear on the distinction before, mostly because, as she points out, Ingram does both things and is the biggest player in either field. Hooray for Cathy Clamp, who makes it all clear and even a bit entertaining.
