I went to the New York Times for an update on Rita's impending landfall, and found this instead. I don't think these guys were trying to observe Talk Like a Pirate Day, but they've got a sublimely goofy case of piratical gumption all the same.

Event: Harvest dance around heaping piles of unhusked corn.
Chant: "The fruit of the harvest be ours, be ours..."
Chant after the hysterically spontaneous invocation of the divine pirates: "The fruit of the harvest... byars! Byars!!"
