A Kind Of Nitty Gritty You Don't Often See In Fantasy Novels, So I'll See How It Plays

Okay, this guy is at the top of my research reading list for the second sequel to the Big Book.

One of these days, it will make career sense to get back to work on that series.

I heard an interview with him a number of months ago, and was quite taken with him and his ideas. It was on NPR, so you could probably do a search for him there and find it. I think Scott Simon might have done the interview, but I could be wrong.

Fascinating, and so hopeful for the future. Thanks for the link!

Someday soon, I hope.

Sooner in fact.

re: your Big Books: I yearn for them.

re: Sharp: Very cool stuff! Immediately reminded of Mark Kurlansky's Nonviolence: The History of a Dangerous Idea, which I read during a weekend workshop on the Quaker Testimonies of Britain Yearly Meeting, and must read again. Wonderful book.

Very, very interesting. A dangerous man with dangerous ideas ... at least, for those in power.

As for nitty-gritty fantasy, if Martin's "Song of Ice and Fire" series is any indication, there's definitely an audience for it. I just hope that when your books are published that people don't think that yours were inspired by his.
