Ikea, For All Your Ritual Theatre Needs

dr_pretentiousWhile I was choosing tiny chairs for tiny humans, I came across this little item among Ikea's Christmas displays. It projects a very soft pattern of small moving lights on your ceiling and walls, sort of like a disco ball's more meditative inverse cousin. The effect is a dream of snow, or perhaps a memory of a planetarium demonstration of precession.
Several potential applications for Yule rituals sprang to mind, and in some Pagan traditions it might come in handy for rites of passage. If I had more paid teaching gigs this year, I'd be buying a dozen and giving them to the presiding priestesses of all our sister-covens. It's a lean year, so y'all will have to settle for this hot tip and the usual ACLU donation.
