Crossed the halfway mark Friday night. Cranked out another 1007 words Saturday night. Then slept long enough to wake rested for the first time since October.

If I break 30,000 by the end of the day Monday...I'll still have a houseful of in-laws over for Thanksgiving, and I'll be unable to put any weight on my foot at all for several days because of the cortisone injection.

Let me try that sentence again.

If I break 30,000 by the end of the day Monday, I'll have a real chance at crossing the finish line with 50K. Not least because I'll be physically unable to flee the manuscript if Dan puts it in my lap, and I won't be able to clean the house for wanting to. Butt-in-chair? That'll be my only option.
