I don't know many details yet about when I'll be free, but there should at least be time to get together for coffee before I head north to the land of lake-effect snow. Dan and I would love to see you, if we can make it work with the various other not-yet-scheduled obligations. We're still coordinating with my parents, Dan's parents, Dan's aunts and uncles and cousins, and our respective sisters who are out of state for Xmas but coming home Real Soon. Just to top it off, the annual convention of the Modern Language Association is in DC this year, so my old grad school friends--some of whom I haven't seen in 3 years--will all be in Woodley Park starting tomorrow. Whew! Good thing I'm an extravert. A week of vacation in the old home town is sort of like an extreme sports excursion, only with less risk of permanent skeletal damage.
