When Web Ads Go Terribly Wrong

I took the Dante's Inferno meme quiz years ago, while I was still a grad student and, not surprisingly, I was Wrathful. Now I am less wrathful than I was, but it's still the worst of my high scoring sins, so there I still am, in the 7th circle.

But what really cracks me up is the placement of the ad on the results page:

My best friend has a bit of a history attracting those succubus demon girlfriends, actually. Works out well for me-- his last breakup really helped me with material for the climax of my NaNoWriMo novel. :)

...you are clearly focusing on those sins that are the most fun. Lust and gluttony. ;) Wrath and malice are kind of a drag, in my opinion.

Before taking the test, I wondered what the difference was between non-believers and heretics. Lo and behold, I scored highest in those two categories. (I'm not sure how to make my results show up here.)

Usually somewhere on the results page the quizzes have little scrolling boxes with instructions that say something like, "Cut and paste the contents of this window." Paste that stuff into your message box on lj, and the html takes care of itself.

I agree about the wrath. Lust and gluttony are a lot more fun, and goodness knows I scored high on them.

hee! not only did i get banished to dis for heresy above and beyond the call of duty -- a righteous bust, if there ever was one -- there was a bit of marginalia offering to sell me a lexus suv opposite a question about avarice. ah, that warms my heart more than the fires of hell ever will. *contented sigh*
