I Told You It Was Big

It takes two and a half hours to print out hard copy of the Big Book on my laser printer. It's a non-wimpy laser printer, too, of a size recommended for small businesses. The IRS and HP agree: I am a small business.

The Big Book is currently 979 pages long in proper SFWA manuscript format.

Despite its bulk, the Big Book fits into the large manuscript mailer I bought from Papyrus Place. If the ms arrives intact at [livejournal.com profile] awritersweekend's house in Seattle, I will be a very satisfied customer.

On the bright side, whoever delivers it will be well armed if someone tries to mug him/her.

Surprisingly, only 22, and that by priority mail. Parcel post would have been 20 and some change. Bless the US Postal System.

There was a time early on the life of the Big Book when friends would ask for the various sections and chapters in hard copy and I didn't have to think before saying yes.

We thank you, in advance.

I'll let you know when it arrives!
